Pirena 2008
19th January - 2nd February

Pirena 2008 will take place from 19th January to 2nd February 2008.
After the Party and welcome ceremony to all entrants in Zaragoza the crossing will start in the beautiful landscapes in Aragon, in the mountains of Aragon Valley near Formigal, in the Tena Valley, following its path towards the outstanding ski resort Formigal.
Candanchú, situated in the Aragon Valley, will be the next stage that will end our passing by Aragon.
In the core of the Aran Valley, where we find the prominent ski resort Baqueira Beret, three stages will be carried out: Pla de Beret, the magical nocturnal Beret – Montgarri and Pla de Beret – Pla de Beret.
In the graceful slopes of Port Ainé, in the region of Pallars Sobirà, we will reach the highest point of our route, the Peak Orri 2,440 meters, where a great part of Catalonia can be contemplated.
In France we will follow the splendid snow paths on Plateau de Beille, the largest cross-country ski resort in the Pyrenees, where two stages will take place, a nocturnal and another one discovering the beginning of a new day.

Once in Andorra, Grandvalira and La Rabassa will receive us with pleasure. In Grandvalira-Soldeu El Tarter we will enjoy the magic of the night on its well-marked pistes. In Grandvalira-Grau Roig trails surrounded by magnificent snowed mountains will be our scenery.
La Rabassa-Naturlandia with the image of Andorran summits and the mountain range Cadí represents the return to the countryside opened to forests and fields.
Back to Spain, in La Molina, we will culminate the final stage in this ski resort, which is the most ancient one in Spain. Magnificent pistes, final stage, the warmth of the public and the great final Winter Party of La Molina and Pirena, which has become a classic one in the Pyrenees with a record of citizens in a Party, will be the ingredients.
Here Pirena will say its goodbyes to all its entrants and friends:
