Pirena is a sleddog race run in the Pyrenees, which will take place from 21st January to 4th February 2012 and organized by Affinity Petcare, S.A.

The intention of the present rules is to guarantee a fair and sportive competition. The CCP with the Race marshal’s agreement is responsible for interpreting these rules as well as for guaranteeing that these will be carried out.
The CCP - PIRENA Race Committee - is the final authority to carry out this regulation. The CCP has the authority to suspend, to postpone or to modify certain stages because of snow conditions or bad weather. The race shall be governed by these rules. For all that is not included in these particular rules, the ESDRA and IFSS rules shall be valid. When a doubt exists, the Spanish version of these rules will be the valid one.
PIRENA will consist of two independent competitions, although they will follow the same itinerary: SLEDS CLASS (open to all dogs) and SKIJORING (open to all dogs)
The distance of each stage for both sleds and skijorers will be published on the previous day of each stage and might vary from the estimate distances published on the programme before the race. Before the first stage mushers will appoint a Representative who will be their spokesperson in front of the Organisation Committee and the CCP. Skijors will also appoint a Representative.

all the information, changes, results starting lists, decisions or agreements by the CCP will be published here. The notice board will be located in the Race Office situated in the car park, from 8.00 until one hour after the Awards Ceremony. In the Race Office copies of the starting lists and results will always be available.
