PIRENA 2010
A new edition of PIRENA is on its way. The race will take place from 23rd January to 6th February.
IKER OZCOIDI HAS WON THE MOST DEMANDING PIRENA RACE
Pirena 2009, Grand Prix Affinity Advance, finishes in La Molina with a positive results and the highest standard in the last 15 years. Iker Ozcoidi (Ternua) has become the second Spanish Champion in The White Route in the Pyrenees.
TOMORROW PIRENA 2009 FINISHES IN LA MOLINA
IKER OZCOIDI,THE MOST PROBABLE CHAMPION Tomorrow Ozcoidi, team TERNUA, will be the second Spanish Champion in the history of this competition: "Undoubtedly this has been the hardest Pirena of the 14 I've run and with highest standard" After this edition Pirena consolidates its place as the most prestigious one in Europe
GRANDVALIRA, GRAND HILLESTAD
In the second stage in Andorra the Norwegian skijorer Lena Boysen Hillestad leaves all the sleds behind Tom Andres (GAES) wins on the plain in Grau Roig and Francesc Vallespí (Catalunya Neu / Terres de l'Ebre) arrives in the second place
THE HARDNESS OF PIRENA
Pirena enters Andorra encountering severe slopes downward in GrandValira El Tarter: a hard effort by climbing and serious risk in falling going downward ker Ozcoidi (Ternua) wins a new stage in his way to the final victory
THE FRENCH PIRENA SPEAKS NORWEGIAN
The couple Hillestad: Kjetil has won the stage on Plateau de Beille in sleds class, whereas his wife Lena Boysen has won a new stage in skijoring. With Iker Ozcoidi as the favourite, the Grand Prix Affinity Advance arrives tomorrow Wednesday in Andorra to face the final part of the race

Pirena Grand Prix Affinity Advance arrives in France in a nocturnal stage on the spectacular Plateau de Beille Iker Ozcoidi (Ternua/Canun) wins at the same finish line where other World sportsmen has done as well like Armstrong, Pantani and Contador
PIRENA ON THE TOP
The White Route in the Pyrenees climbs the Peak de l'Orri (2,444 m.) in the Natural Park Alt Pirineu. Tom Andres (GAES) obtains his second stage victory at the finish line in Granpallars Port Ainé and warns "I'll fight until the end".
A FAIR PLAY RACE: ANDRES HAS FALLEN AND OZCOIDI HAS HELPED HIM
Tom Andres (GAES) has had an accident at the start in Granpallars Port Ainé. This makes him waste 8 minutes and thanks to that Ozcoidi (Ternua / Canun) obtains the final victory. Now the question is if the champion of Pirena Grand Prix Affinity Advance is already decided, but final surprises migh come in the last minute.
A DESERVED REST DAY
Pirena 2009, Grand Prix Affinity Advance, arrives to its first half with a deserved rest day and the evaluation is very positive. The six stages run until now have been spectacular. The sleds have enjoyed excellent snow and middle distance trails suitable for dogs and mushers. Tomorrow Pirena comes back with a twenty Kilometres trail in Port Ainé.
MAGIC OF THE NIGHT WRAPES PIRENA
In the most beautiful place in the Aran Valley, under the Stars, ten degrees below zero and in front of the fire Pirena reaches one of its most magical spots: Montgarri Iker Ozcoidi (Ternua/Canun/ wins the three stages celebrated in the Aran Valley and takes more than twelve minutes from the second classified Tom Andres (Gaes)
TODAY CATALONIA LOOKS LIKE SIBERIA
Ten degrees below zero in the snow and with purebreds dogs around Baqueira becomes a scenery looking like Siberia. In the first Catalan stage Iker Ozcoidi (Ternua/Canun) gives a surprise on Pla de Beret and situates six minutes before the second team classified

FOG OBLIGES TO CANCEL PIRENA STAGE IN FORMIGAL
Pascual Pérez, Formigal Manager has stated: "Receiving Pirena is very special; we're very sad that sleds can't slide today through Formigal"
First Stage: Navarra dominates, Aragón captivates
La Partacua .- Navarra was the main character and Aragon was seductive in the first stage in Pirena 2009 Grand Prix Affinity Advance. In the magnificent frame La Partacua and the marvellous mountains of Telera and Tendeñera dominating the natural scenery in the Pyrenees of Aragon the 400 dogs and the 33 mushers started the way which will lead them to reach La Molina in fifteen days crossing an important part of The Pyrenees.
PIRENA 2009, GRAND PRIX AFFINITY ADVANCE, TAKES OFF
PIRENA 2009, GRAND PRIX AFFINITY ADVANCE, TAKES OFF 400 dogs, 27 sleds and the caravan of the great White Route in The Pyrenees occupy the centre of Zaragoza in the official presentation of the race Zaragoza.- a new edition of Pirena, the grand white route in the Pyrenees, which achieves its 19th edition, starts. In the full centre of Zaragoza more than 10.000 people welcome the race and the 34 participants. Finally, Pirena counts on 27 sleds and 7 skijorers who tomorrow, Sunday, will run the first stage in La Partacua in The Tena Valley.
